Review: Earth Henna - White Lace Tattoo

Hello Beauties!!

Back in March, I did a review on Earth Henna's Henna Tattoos. Well, guess what!! This month I am reviewing another Earth Henna product for you... White Lace Tattoos. White Lace is safe, even if you are pregnant like I am, as it is not henna. It is a mix of latex body paint and water based glue that peels off after a day or two.

Retail: $27.50 (Click on picture above to be taken to the website)

As you can see the kit comes with a white powder (cornstarch), silver glitter, White lace (glue mixture), application tip (not pictured), and a small cosmetic brush (used to remove excess cornstarch and/or glitter).

The kit also includes the instructions on how to apply the white lace and clean the application tip for reuse. It explains everything very well from application to applying the cornstarch and glitter to clean up.

Not sure what you want to do or how to make a design with your white lace? Earth Henna has you covered there too. They provide a sample sheet with the kit so that you can get ideas for designs. Whether you use their design sheet or come up with something of your own, it is bond to be amazing!

I decided to use one of the designs provided (bottom middle of the previous photo) and add a little extra designs to my fingers as well. This is the only "process" picture I took because I was having too much fun applying the latex paint and trying out the design that I forgot to take more pictures.

As you can see the paint is white. The only thing at this point that I had put glitter on was the dots on my fingers before it dawned on me that I needed to take pictures of the before and after! Once the paint dries, it is still tacky so forgetting to take the before picture was not a problem.

Hint: If you want to keep the design white, applying the cornstarch to the design and letting it sit for a few minutes will take the tacky feeling away.

This is the after photo with silver glitter applied to the entire design - as I said you can leave it white, just follow the instructions on that. The design lasted me three days before it started peeling. Once that happened I peeled the rest of it off and threw it in the trash. It was super easy to remove! In case you are curious, yes, I was able to wash my hands and shower with the design on my hand.

All in all, I loved the ease of this kit and the beauty that is possible to create from it. Applying the paint was not messy. There was no mixing powders and liquids. It came ready to use - remove the cap from the paint and apply the application tip and begin your design.

The only actual mess was glitter, but I used a paper plate (instructions suggest a paper towel) under my hand when I was applying the glitter and removing the excess so that the mess was contained.

Have you given this product a try? What did you think about it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know by leaving a comment!

Disclosure: this kit was sent to me for free to review, but that in no way sways my review or how I feel about the product.
